Business Development Intern

Lumo is an app for Chinese students in Malaysia and Singapore: housing, food, Q&A, and the first weeks after landing. This role covers merchants and campuses in Kuala Lumpur.

What you will do

• Visit restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, close the partnership, and get their menu, prices and promotions onto Lumo
• Keep content and promotions current for the partners we already have
• Work with student societies on orientation-season events
• Visit stores, talk to owners and to users, and write up what you found

Requirements

• Based in Kuala Lumpur; most of this work happens outside
• Able to do business in both English and Mandarin — merchants mostly speak English or Malay
• Can turn a visit into written conclusions
• Can carry something to done on your own
• A plus: currently studying, time in a student society, past campus events or merchant outreach
